Ilsa Holguín’s world is in chaos.

Seventy-five years ago, a rift was opened near the outer fringes of New York, one that led to a parallel universe wildly different from Earth. While the people of Earth were curious to see what would happen if they stepped through the rift, the people on the rift’s other side, better known as the Volatus, were far more hostile. Within two years a brutal interdimensional war had broken out, and Earth’s population was halved.

The war between the humans and the Volatus still goes strong to this day, and even though she’s not even in her twenties, Ilsa has found herself enlisted amongst the ranks of the Clearlight Foundation, one of the few organizations still willing to take on the Volatus and save humanity. But there’s always danger when she least expects it, and the Clearlight Foundation may or may not be as powerful as Ilsa thinks.

And not only that: there’s still the mystery of how the rift opened in the first place.
